*[en] about YAWENTA CHILDREN'S CENTER:
The project’s goal is to safeguard the survival, health, physical and psychological well- being of its beneficiaries, especially children living with HIV/AIDS and to educate them to become
independent, self-sufficient and responsible members of society.
The children attend the Center from Monday to Friday through free transport service. At our project's site, they receive two meals and two consistant snacks every day, a free quality education inspired by the Montessori pedagogy, their health and hygiene is closely monitored and their psychosocial well-being is ensured through individual counseling and regular meetings with their parents or caretakers.
We now support 114 beneficiaries that have been referred to us through the local government health and women and children's affairs offices; 65% of them are living with HIV/AIDS. Our project have saved many lives and gives children the right to have a positive life.
Yawenta France is a non profit organization which supports as a french partner Yawenta Children's Center, in Ethiopia. We help the children by providing financial support and developing actions in France.
*[fr] à propos de YAWENTA CHILDREN'S CENTER:
Le but du projet est d'assurer la santé, le bien être physique et psychologique des enfants de la région de Shashamané, en particulier les enfants séropositifs et de leur fournir une éducation
pour qu'ils deviennent des citoyens autonomes et responsables.
Les enfants fréquentent le Centre Yawenta du Lundi au Vendredi grâce à un service de transport pris en charge par l'ONG. Sur place, ils reçoivent deux repas et deux collations par jour, une instruction maternelle et primaire de qualité inspirée par la pédagogie Montessori, un suivi médical et hygiénique rapproché. Un soutien psychologique individuel est assuré, en liaison permanente avec leurs familles.
Nous soutenons actuellement 120 enfants qui ont été référé par les bureaux gouvernementaux locaux de la santé et de la protection maternelle et infantile, dont 65% d'entre eux sont séropositifs. Le Centre Yawenta donne à ses enfants le droit d'avoir une vie positive, encadrée par un accompagnement sécurisant.
Yawenta France est une organisation à but non lucratif qui soutient en tant que partenaire français le Centre Yawenta pour Enfants, en Ethiopie. Nous aidons les enfants en apportant un soutien financier et en développant des actions en France.
